The Victoria Falls racing organisation announced that Drikus Odendaal has joined the staff as a full-time Loft Manager/Coach. Odendaal is a breeder from South Africa.
According to sources, Odendaal is a young and passionate breeder who has been involved with racing pigeons for 29 years; his father has also participated in races for many years. He currently holds the championship title of the Highveld Pigeon Union under the East Rand Pigeon Federation (East Rand Güvercin Federasyonu).
For the past seven years he ran a One Loft Race called 'Winners Flight'; however he will no longer be affiliated with that race. This information was included in the announcement about Odendaal's future plans.
Odendaal will serve full-time for Victoria Falls overseeing the breeding station, quarantine loft management, pigeon conditioning and training, race management, and post-race export selections.
Organisation officials welcomed Odendaal, saying he will make a valuable contribution to the team.
