The German racing pigeon breeders' association Verband Deutscher Brieftaubenzüchter e.V. has opened applications to select the 'Super-Star' pigeons to be exhibited at DBA 2026. The selection will be carried out as part of the exhibition to be held in November.
Candidate pigeons are expected to have achieved double-digit prize counts over several years; that is, they should have won 10 or more prizes at least twice. The announcement also gives examples such as 10, 11, 12, 13 or 14 prizes.
Owners can nominate animals they consider suitable for the competition by applying to the 'Super-Star' exhibition. The application requires filling out the relevant form and sending it to the address specified in the announcement. The application form is provided as a PDF (size: 320.12 KB).
The association's presidency (Verbandspräsidium) will review all applications and decide which pigeons are suitable for the exhibition and the Super-Star selection. The evaluation of applications is at the discretion of this committee.
The application deadline has been set as 15 October 2026. Breeders planning to participate in DBA 2026 should note this date.
