DBA team competition returns

The team competition held as part of the German racing pigeon show DBA (Deutsche Brieftauben-Ausstellung) will take place again this year. The organizer, Verband Deutscher Brieftaubenzüchter e.V., announced the event in class 13.

Each team must be formed by at least four breeders (i.e., four separate racing lofts) and consist of a maximum of ten pigeons; entries can be made by an RV, FG, RegV group or the entire RegV. Of the ten pigeons forming the team, at least six must be old birds (not born in that year) and four must be young birds (Jungtauben) of the same year for the DBA.

Each old bird must have at least one placement in 2026, and the six old birds must together have at least 30 placements in 2026. Young birds must have won at least three placements in 2026 to be accepted for the show. Placements must have been achieved in accordance with the Reise- und Vergabeordnung Sport des Verbandes and must be documented and proven with certificates.

The entry fee per bird per stand was set at €8. The deadline for applications is 30 October 2026, and the deadline for notifying the birds to be exhibited at the show is 14 November 2026.

Scoring will be based on the points of up to nine of the ten birds; the team with the highest score will be awarded the title «Deutscher Mannschaftsmeister». In the event of a tie, the decision will be made according to item 'a' of the PV's evaluation regulations (Bewertungsvorschriften der PV). Winning teams will receive cash vouchers according to the number of teams participating; all entry fees (100%) will be transferred to the prize pool and payments will be sent to the winners after the DBA.
